Apollo's Fire

Apollo's Fire will have a new concert video available beginning March 10th.  It's called Elegance:  The Harper's Voice, with harpist and vocalist Anna O'Connell and soprano Amanda Powell. 

Baldwin Wallace Conservatory

At the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory, Brendan Caldwell conducts a virtual concert by the Baldwin Wallace Symphonic Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble with music of Persichetti, Dukas and Dvorak.  It will air on Friday evening, March 12 at 7:00 and be available for streaming thereafter. 

Beck Center

The tenth collaboration between Lakewood's Beck Center and the Baldwin Wallace University Music Theater Program is a virtual one, in the form of world premieres of five fifteen minute new musicals, chosen by the National Alliance for Musical Theater.  The limited virtual engagement has been extended through March 7th.

Beck Center

In Lakewood, Beck Center For the Arts will present a special streaming concert called Beck Alums on Broadway.  The limited virtual angagement runs March 5th through 28th. 



Beck Center

Beck Center for the Arts is presenting an exhibition by three Ohio-based artists, Katherine CHeck, EIleen Dorsey and Danielle Goins, called Spontaneity Alive running through the end of February.   

Blank Canvas Theater

Blank Canvas Theatre presents Make Them Hear You, a celebration of Black Artistry in Musical Theater, a  live multimedia, drive-in theater experience.  It's playing for two nights only, Friday and Saturday, February 26th and 27th at 8:00.   Advance sale only   

Church of the Covenant

At the Church of the Covenant in University Circle, there are two series of drive-in carillon concerts, on Fridays at lunchtime, 12:15, and on Sunday afternoons at 4:00,  On Friday, February 12th, 

Sheryl MNodlin will be the Guest Carillonneur a Black History Month program. which will be live streamed.      

CityMusic Cleveland

CItyMusic Cleveland is presenting a chamber series called Celebrating Women's Rights to Vote and Create.  The next program in the series will be streamed on March 19th and 20th and is devoted to New Voices - music for String Quartet by Elena Ruchr, Denise Ondishko, Amy Beach and Jesse Montgomery. 

Cleveland Cinematheque

Cleveland Cinemateque’s Virtual Multiplex has more than twenty films available for viewing on line, with new films being added each week.  You can check out the current list at their website. 

Cleveland Classical Guitar Society

The Cleveland Clasiscal Guitar Society's online seaon will feature guitarist Stephanie Jone on Saturday evening, February 27th.  Her program will include music ranging from Leo Brouwer and Francisco Tarrega to Luius Bonfa and Antonio Carlos Jobim,  She will also perform the presmiere of a new piece by Kevin Callahan. 


Cleveland Classical Guitar Society

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society continues its twelfrth season of International Series concerts with Italian guitarist Emanuele Buono,  He'll perform music of Bach, Schubert, Gerard Drozel and Hans Hauq.  The concert will be streamed on Saturday evening, March 20th at 7:30.

Cleveland Composers Guild

The Cleveland Composers Guild will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its founding by presenting a live stream concert of solos and duos written by its members.  There'll be eleven pieces, including five premieres and a composition by Gabriel Stosser, winner of the Guild's 8th annual Collegiate Composition Competition.  That concert will stream on line on Sunday afternoon, March 21st at 3:00 


Cleveland Museum of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art is open for in-person visits.  The Museum is currently presenting a show called Stories from Storage -  items from the Museum's collection that have not generally been on public view.  Reservations are required. 


Cleveland Musicians Union

Local Four of the Cleveland Musicians Union continues its virtual concert series with two performances in March.  On the 11th, the Athena Quartet will perform muisc of Dvorak Haydn and Puccini from Pilgrim Congregational Church at 7:00PM.  And on the 18th the Beta Collective will play jazz compositions by guitarist Dan Bruce from the Bop Stop at 7:00.  Both classical and jazz performances will continue scheduled through May,  

Cleveland Orchestra

Because of continuing health and safety concerns, The Cleveland Orchestra has cancelled the return of audiences to Severance Hall for concerts that had nee schedule during March and June.  A schedule of performances without audiences will continue during these months, to be films and presented as part of the Orchestra's In Focus online series on the Adella app and  The Orchestra will continues its strong online presence.  Bonus episodes in the Focus series to be added include pianist Mitsuko Uchida in recital playing music of Schubert at London’s Wigmore Hall, and the Cleveland Orchestra performing Mozart at Severance Hall. There’ll also be an episode of cellist Alisa Weilerstein playing all of the Bach solo cello suites.   

Cleveland Public Theater


The Winter season of Cleveland Public Theater’s Alive on Line series begins with added performances off …Or Does it Explode February 11th, 12 and 13th.  Running February 17th thou March 4th will be Savory Tanha, a set of sixteen short plays, running in repertory with Dragon Hypothesis February 24th through March 7th.  

Cuyahoga Community College

Cuyahoga Community College is presenting the work of 63 regional artists in an exhibit called NewNow 2021, a virtual art exhibit in co-operation with Artists Archives of the Western Reserve.  The show opens February 18th and will continue through April 17th.  

Great Lakes Theater

Great Lakes Theater is beginnning a new online series called Great Genres.  The first installment of the series profiles the genre that is normally on the Great Lakes stage at this time of year, the mystery/thriller. 

Heights Arts

Heights Arts’ fifteenth Close Encounters series of concerts is being streamed live from the Bop Stop this year.  The first concert, on Saturday afternoon, January 20th, features the Omni Quartet with special guest oboist Frank Rosenwein in music of Handel, Beethoven and others. On February 28th, its music of Florence Price and Mozart, and on April 25th, Fanny Mendelssohn and Anton Arensky


Heights Arts

Heights Arts’ fifteenth Close Encounters series of concerts is being streamed live from the Bop Stop this year.  The first concert, on Saturday afternoon, January 30th, features the Omni Quartet with special guest oboist Frank Rosenwein in music of Handel, Beethoven and others. On February 28th, its music of Florence Price and Mozart, and on April 25th, Fanny Mendelssohn and Anton Arensky.


Karamu House

Karamu House will present a month of virtual events to celebrate Black History month, including a free concert in partnership with The Musical Theater Project, available to stream on deman all month long, as well as a live interactive series of In the Tradition every Friday in February.  For a full listing of events, check Karamu’s website. 

Les Delices

Les Delices will continue its live-streamed early music variety show called SalonEra on alternate Mondays evening , beginning on January 18th with a behind-the-scenes segment featuring some of the Artists-in-Residence and members of the production team.  On February 1st, the program will be Afro-Carribean Roots, and on the 15th, Stylus Fantasticus, exploring early 17th century musical wonders. 



Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage

At the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, the special exhibition The Notorious RBG:  The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg opens February 24th and will continue through August 29th.  There are a number of events presented in conjunction with the exhibition,, including on-line tours. 

Maltz Performing Arts Center

Jim Wadsworth Productions and the Maltz Performing Arts Center at Case Western Reserve will stream a jazz series.  Vocalist Evelyn Wright will begin the series of Wednesday evening, February 10; Guitarist Moises Borges will be featured on March 12th and trumpeter Dominick Farninacci will perform on Tuesday, April 6th. 



Piano Cleveland

Piano Cleveland on its website has occasional live streaming performances, as well as selections from past events, including the recent all-Beethoven recital presented at the Malzt Performing Arts Center. 


Playhouse Square

In honor of Black History Month, Playhouse Square is offering two free streaming performances : Stono by Step Afrika! and Rhapsody in Black by LeLand Gantt. Registration for the free performances is required. 

Stono, available for streaming on demand February 1-14, honors the spirit of resistance and activism that remains a critical part of American freedom.  Available for streaming on demand February 22-28, Rhapsody in Black, is a one-man show that explores LeLand’s personal journey to understanding and eventually transcending racism in America.


Rocky River Chamber Music Society

The Rocky River Chamber Music Society’s season is a virtual one.  The next concert on Monday, February 15th, will feature saxophonist Stephen Banks playing both classical and jazz selections.
